Paris, the 2000s. What a shock to discover this city brimming with energy, where my parents had decided to settle. Born in the green landscapes of the Lot Valley, I lived a peaceful youth to the rhythm of country outings. Uprooted from that pastoral setting, I found myself torn between the memory of my childhood surrounded by trees and the energy and dreams that lay before me.
Fortunately, my parents had kept our family home in the Lot valley. Sometimes a country child, sometimes a city child, I followed the sensible path: engineering studies, a large company. It took me no more than two years to realize that this well-ordered life was not mine.
What if happiness, were as simple as that ? What if others dreamed, like me, of living the best of both worlds : the urban jungle and its share of surprises, and the tranquility of the countryside ?
2004 : 10 000 euros in my pocket and around 500 phone calls to real estate agents later, I took over a neglected website. The adventure began.
Twenty years later, I am still as moved as I was on the first day when a Green-Acres user confides in me that they spent whole months on our site, only to finally settle in a place they would never have imagined. And to be happy there ! You who are reading these lines, I also wish that you find your happiness here.
